Irene M. Hutchins, MD, is a well-versed hematologist/oncologist who diagnoses and treats patients at Desert Care Network’s Comprehensive Cancer Center in Palm Springs and La Quinta, CA. She joined the center in 2018 and focuses her practice on benign and malignant hematological disorders, including leukemia, multiple myeloma, lymphoma, and myeloproliferative neoplasms. Irene M. Hutchins, MD, attended the University of California Davis School of Medicine in Sacramento, CA, and received her medical degree in 2012. Furthermore, she conducted her internal medicine residency at the same teaching venue, i.e., University of California At Davis (2012-2015). In addition, she completed her fellowship training in hematology/oncology at The Scripps MD Anderson Cancer Center in San Diego, CA (2015-2018). She attributes part of her success to the strong mentorship and training received throughout her educational journey. Dr. Hutchins received board certification in internal medicine, medical oncology, and hematology from the American Board of Internal Medicine. She remains active in her subspecialty as a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology. Dr. Hutchins is also a member of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, where she also serves on the board of trustees.
